Recipe for soft liver
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. In this recipe, I use chicken liver. If you don't have it, you can buy turkey, beef, or other types of liver. To serve, you can boil rice or pasta. You can serve the liver immediately after cooking, or if preparing in advance, simply reheat it in a pan or microwave. The dish is now ready to be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Wash the liver, carefully squeeze out the water, then trim off the fat membrane (if any), and cut each piece in half.
- 2
Step 2
Peel the onions, finely chop one, slice the other into half-rings, and mince the bacon. Wash the tomato and cut it into small pieces.
- 3
Step 3
Heat a pan with vegetable and butter, add the bacon and fry until cooked, then add the chopped onion.
- 4
Step 4
After a couple of minutes, add the remaining onion (sliced into half-rings) to the skillet, then add the tomatoes and liver.
- 5
Step 5
Cover the pan with a lid and cook over low heat for 5-7 minutes, pour in the wine, add black ground pepper and crushed marjoram, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
- 6
Step 6
After the required time, open the lid, check the liver for doneness, then season with salt (only at the very end).
- 7
Step 7
Serve the dish hot, with a side of boiled rice or a slice of white bread.
