We start preparing the chicken casserole by rinsing the chicken breast and cutting it into small pieces. We peel the potatoes and also cut them into small cubes. We rinse the mushrooms, clean them, and slice them thinly.

Place layers of potatoes, then chicken, then mushrooms alternately into the baking dish. Reserve some mushrooms for garnish.

In a separate container, beat the eggs, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater and sprinkle it over the first layer of ingredients.
