Step 1

1. I suggest making apple buns; this pastry is popular even in winter. So, let's prepare yeast dough (non-scalded): dissolve yeast in warm milk, add sugar, salt, eggs, vegetable oil, and sifted flour. Knead the dough and place it in a warm spot to rise. You need to punch down the dough once. When it rises again and forms a dome, the dough is ready.

Step 2

2. I never use raw apples for pies; I always simmer them with sugar. First, peel the apples, then sprinkle them with sugar and let them sit for 10 minutes.

Step 3

3. Then add the apples to the pan and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes. Don't forget to stir constantly.

Step 4

4. After this time, the apples will begin to caramelize and develop a beautiful golden color. Remove them from the heat and let cool. If you add a little starch, the filling will become thick and won't leak out.

Step 5

5. Now let's work on the dough: divide it into portions and roll each portion into a ball. I shape the buns directly in my hand.

Step 6

6. Place the filling in the center, then roll into a ball and shape into a bun. Place them side by side on a greased baking sheet, leaving a little space between each, and let rise slightly.

Step 7

7. Place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. Before baking, don't forget to brush the top with egg.

Step 8

8. When the buns are ready, let them sit for a few minutes so they are easier to remove and separate from each other. Serve them hot or cold.
