Pork ribs in the oven
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. The cooking time includes not only the actual cooking process but also 3-4 hours of marinating. If desired, you can leave the meat in the marinade overnight, which will make the ribs baked in the oven at home even more tender and juicy. The dish is ready to be served.

Step 1

1. The recipe for baking ribs in the oven is extremely simple. It's perfect for beginners and those who don't like spending a lot of time in the kitchen. First, you need to wash and cut the ribs. Also, remove any membranes and connective tissues.

Step 2

2. Peel the onions and slice them into medium rings. There's no need to finely chop them; you can even cut the onions into larger pieces. If desired, you can add a bit of garlic, either whole cloves or crushed with a press.

3. Now it's time to make the marinade sauce. It will be quite simple. Add a little vegetable oil, soy sauce, and chili to the tomato sauce. If you don't have hot sauce, you can add some finely chopped chili pepper. Season the marinade with salt and pepper to taste. Add dried herbs to taste. You can also add chopped fresh herbs. Mix everything thoroughly.

4. Place the ribs and onion into a bowl or pot. Pour the marinade over them and mix well. It's best to put a weight on top and let them marinate for 2–3 hours, turning occasionally.

Step 5

5. For the best results when cooking ribs in the oven at home, use a rack instead of a baking dish. There's one caveat here—juices from the meat will drip abundantly and splatter inside the oven. To keep your oven clean, place a baking tray underneath the rack and put the ribs on the rack, or lay them on foil. In the second option, the ribs will turn out more tender, while in the first, they'll be nicely roasted. Roast the ribs at 180–190°C until fully cooked. Serve them as a standalone dish or with a side dish.
