Canadian-style ribs
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Generally, in the classic recipe for preparing Canadian-style ribs, the sauce needs to be simmered over low heat until thickened, but I decided to simplify it a bit and skip this step. The finished dish can be served at the table.

Step 1

So, first of all, let's prepare all the necessary ingredients for making the dish.

Step 2

We need the apple to make purée from it. Essentially, you can use ready-made purée (buying it at the store), but I prefer making it myself. Peel the apple and remove the core, then cut it into fairly large pieces. Transfer the pieces into a container, cover it with plastic wrap, and place it in the microwave. Heat for 5–10 minutes, then mash with a fork until it reaches a purée-like consistency. Alternatively, you can bake the apple in the oven.

Step 3

In a separate container, mix all the ingredients for the marinade (including the apple puree). These will be all the ingredients from the list except for the ribs themselves.

Step 4

Now place the ribs into the marinade. Mix them very thoroughly so that the marinade evenly coats the ribs. Let them marinate for one to three hours.

Step 5

After this time, transfer the ribs to a greased baking tray. Pour the remaining marinade over the top and cover with foil. Bake in the oven at 180-200 degrees Celsius for one hour. Then remove the foil and bake the ribs with convection for another half hour (preferably reducing the temperature to 170-160 degrees).
