
Ratatouille in the microwave
Description
Colorful ratatouille is so tempting, especially fresh and hot straight out of the microwave. Yes, this dish can easily be prepared using this method in just 10 minutes. The key is to thoroughly cook the sliced zucchini so it doesn't remain firm. Don't forget the spices and seasonings: basil, oregano, rosemary, or Provence herbs.

Prepare the listed ingredients. Choose a young zucchini with soft skin.

Peel the onion, rinse it in water, and chop into small cubes. Place into a container. Dice two tomatoes into small cubes and add to the container. Pour in 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, add salt, sprinkle in sugar, and mix. Place the container in the microwave for 2–3 minutes to cook the tomato sauce.

Meanwhile, rinse the eggplant and zucchini under water, trim off the ends, and slice them into rounds no thicker than 1 cm, otherwise they will take longer to cook.

Slice the remaining tomatoes in the same way, washing them in water and removing the green cores. Place the vegetable slices into the dish directly into the sauce, arranging them alternately one after another.

Salt them, spray with vegetable oil, and sprinkle with ground basil. Place the dish in the microwave for 8 minutes. First, bake for 4 minutes, then check for doneness and bake for the remaining time.

Remove the ready ratatouille from the microwave, pierce the zucchini slices in the center and at the edges, checking them.
