Step 1

1. The recipe for preparing fluffy pilaf in a multicooker is actually quite simple. First, wash, dry, and cut the meat into portion-sized pieces. In this case, pork is used, but any other meat can be substituted. Place the chopped meat into the multicooker bowl and lightly sauté using the Bake setting. Adding vegetable oil at this stage is not necessary, as pork will release enough fat. For lean meat, you can add a little oil.

2. While the meat is frying, you can prepare the vegetables. Wash and peel the carrot. Grate it on a medium grater and cut into small strips. Peel the onion and slice it into half-rings. When the meat is slightly browned, add a little vegetable oil to the bowl and put the vegetables in. Cook for another 5-7 minutes on the Bake setting.

Step 3

3. Meanwhile, prepare the rice. Rinse it thoroughly and add it to the sautéed vegetables and meat. Add spices for plov to the pot (you can use a ready-made mix or prepare the seasoning yourself. One essential ingredient that gives plov its incredible aroma is cumin. Other spices can be added to taste). Now pour water or broth into the multicooker. The liquid should be about 2 centimeters above the rice. Peel the garlic and add it to the multicooker (for aroma, you can add it whole, but for better flavor, it's better to chop it).

Step 4

4. Set the Pilaf mode and cook for about 1 hour (depending on the type and size of the meat). If the multicooker does not have this mode, you can use the Stewing or Frying mode.

Step 5

5. When the fluffy pilaf in the multicooker is ready, let it steep for a while. Then carefully remove the garlic (if you added it whole) and serve the dish.
