Crumble cookies from jam
Description
Delicious baked treat for the whole family. As a base for this cookie, you can use any jam (currant, raspberry, cherry, etc.) or just syrup (if the berries had pits). If desired, butter can be substituted with sunflower oil (1/3 cup). Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients required for making the cookies.
- 2
Step 2

In a deep bowl, mix the jam, semolina, and eggs. Melt the butter until liquid and pour it into the other ingredients.
- 3
Step 3

Combine the sifted flour with the baking powder, add to the liquid mixture in parts, and knead a soft dough.
- 4
Step 4

The resulting dough will be slightly sticky to the hands due to the presence of sweet jam in the composition.
- 5
Step 5

Pinch off pieces of dough, shape them into balls the size of a walnut. Place the balls on a baking sheet and gently press them down with your hand.
- 6
Step 6

Bake the jam cookies in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 25–30 minutes until golden brown. During baking, they will rise in size and develop a crumbly texture, which can be seen when broken open.
