Crumby millet porridge with pumpkin

Description

The recipe won't take much time. Buckwheat porridge contains a rich composition of beneficial substances, micro- and macroelements. It is good for digestion and included in therapeutic diets. Pumpkin is just as beneficial as buckwheat. Serve hot.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

One of the most important conditions for delicious millet porridge is thorough rinsing of the grain. Wash the millet under running water in a sieve, rinsing it well and rubbing it with your hands until the water running off the grain becomes completely clear. Then scald the grain with boiling water to ensure that any bitterness is completely avoided. Let the cleaned grain drain thoroughly in the sieve.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

Cut the peeled pumpkin into small cubes, do not grate it. This way the pumpkin flavor will be more pronounced.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

It's more convenient to cook the porridge in a multicooker. Melt 30g of good butter in the bowl and slightly brown the pumpkin cubes in the "frying" mode. Sprinkle the pumpkin with a tablespoon of sugar and let it caramelize slightly. The aroma from such pumpkin will greatly enhance the porridge!

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Add the grain to the pumpkin and gently stir, trying to evenly distribute the pumpkin with the butter.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Pour the grain with a glass of boiling water and add salt. Use slightly less than a teaspoon of salt. Porridge made with a mixture of water and milk tastes better than porridge made with milk alone.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

Cook the porridge in the "grain" or "milk porridge" mode (depending on your multicooker model). As soon as the water evaporates, add the milk. If you prefer sweeter porridge, you can add another spoon of sugar.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

When the free liquid disappears from the surface of the porridge and the cereal is almost cooked, add the remaining butter and switch the multicooker to "keep warm" mode for about 20 minutes.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

Stir the ready, fluffy, golden, and aromatic porridge and serve it at the table. I always put milk and honey on the table for those with a sweet tooth. This is what the porridge looks like—each grain distinct!
