Fish chowder stew
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Chowder is a soup traditionally made in America. The recipe was brought from England or France (no one knows for sure). I suggest preparing a fish chowder stew using practically the same ingredients needed for the soup. The dish will turn out very tasty, aromatic, and juicy. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Main ingredients for our stew. You can use any fish, the main thing is that the bones can be easily removed.
- 2
Step 2

Gut the fish, remove the skin and bones. Cut the fillet into small pieces (about 2 cm each).
- 3
Step 3

Corn, peas, and shrimp are frozen in my case. You can use canned peas and corn or any other vegetables that cook quickly.
- 4
Step 4

Add the fish to the shrimp, peas, and corn. Season with salt and pepper, add basil or other spices to taste. Sprinkle with lemon juice and mix.
- 5
Step 5

Slice the leek thinly.
- 6
Step 6

Place the fish with shrimp and vegetables in a baking dish, add leek, diced tomato, and half of the grated cheese. Mix.
- 7
Step 7

Pour in the cream. It's better to use cream with over 30% fat content. Gently stir the fish so the cream penetrates everywhere.
- 8
Step 8

Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 25 minutes. Then sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake until the cheese melts.
- 9
Step 9

The dish turns out very juicy and flavorful.
- 10
Step 10

Serve with a side of rice, potatoes, or simply with fresh vegetables.
