Step 1

It's better to use homemade cottage cheese, but not too fatty. Put it in a bowl and rub it with your hands to remove large lumps. Add raw chicken eggs to the cottage cheese, then add a cup of sugar, kefir, and baking soda. Mix everything thoroughly.

Step 2

Knead the dough. You may need a little more flour during kneading. Be careful not to add too much, otherwise the dough will become too stiff; it should remain elastic.
- 3
Step 3

Place the ready dough onto a work surface previously dusted with flour. Roll the dough into a sheet about half a centimeter thick. Cut out circles from it using a glass.

Step 4

Sprinkle a little sugar on each circle. Wash the berries you will use as filling. Place the berries or jam with a spoon onto the dough with sugar and shape the dumplings, carefully sealing the edges of the dough.

Step 5

Place the ready dumplings into a steamer. Bring the water to a boil and cover with a lid. Steam the dish for about five to ten minutes. Serve with sour cream or butter. If you have leftover dumplings, you can freeze them.
