Fluffy Matsoni Pancakes

25 min4 serv.21 февр. 2026 г.

Description

It pairs perfectly with tea and coffee. Matsoni is a traditional drink of Armenian and Georgian cuisine. Our matsoni pancakes will be fluffy, tender, and of course very tasty. The dish is simple, but you need to know a few nuances. There should be enough flour in the batter so that it turns out thick. Do not add too much baking soda. Recipes are often published online where, for the amount of ingredients I specify, they add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Under no circumstances should you do this—the pancakes will be thick and fluffy, but with a strong taste and smell of baking soda; in my opinion, that is not very tasty. 1/3 teaspoon is quite enough. They may not be like puffy buns, but you will eat them with pleasure. The baked goods are ready. Serve to the table.
