Fluffy cottage cheese casserole with apples
Description
Delicious baked dish for the whole family. In addition to apples, you can add other fruits (such as bananas or peaches) — it turns out just as tasty. I use store-bought cottage cheese and don't sieve it before cooking, but you can if you'd like. The casserole turns out light and fluffy, with a pleasant taste and texture (thanks to the apples). It can be served with tea or coffee.

Step 1

1. Put the cottage cheese into a bowl, add granulated sugar and salt. Separate the eggs into whites and yolks, add the yolks to the cottage cheese.

Step 2

2. Mix the semolina with baking soda, add the dry ingredients to the cottage cheese, and mix with a spoon or by hand.

Step 3

3. I chill the egg whites in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes beforehand, then beat them with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form. I gently fold them into the cottage cheese mixture using a spatula.

Step 4

4. I wash and peel the apples, then remove the seeds and cut the fruit into pieces. I rinse the raisins in warm water.

Step 5

5. Add apples and raisins to the cottage cheese, mix once again. Line the baking dish with parchment paper and place the cottage cheese mixture into it.

Step 6

6. Bake the casserole in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes (until a golden crust forms).

Step 7

7. I don't immediately remove the ready casserole from the mold; I let it cool slightly, then cut it into pieces and serve.
