
Millet bread
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. The finished millet bread has a pleasant yellow color and a porous texture. If desired, rye or whole wheat flour can be added to the dough, making the bread even more nutritious. Serve with tea or coffee.

Prepare the required ingredients. Note that the amount of water indicated is only for making the dough; an additional 200 ml of water is needed to cook the millet.

Rinse the millet and cook it for 10-15 minutes.

Mash the cooked millet into a puree using a potato masher or immersion blender.

Pour cold water into the millet, stir, and let it cool to a warm state (temperature — 30-35 degrees). Then add the yeast, mix well with a spoon, and leave for 20-30 minutes.

After the specified amount of time, the yeast will activate and foam will form on the surface of the mixture.

Add salt and gradually sift in the flour, stirring the dough with a spoon. As soon as it begins to come together into a ball, pour in the sunflower oil.

Knead the soft dough by hand, then leave it in a warm place to rise until it increases in volume 2-3 times (20-30 minutes).

When the dough has risen well, punch it down and shape it into the desired loaf. Place it in a baking pan.

Leave the bread in a warm place to rise for 15–20 minutes, then bake at 180–190 degrees for 50–60 minutes.
