Prepare all the ingredients.

Rinse the millet thoroughly in water several times. Soak in warm water for 1 hour, then drain the water and rinse the millet again. Transfer to a colander and let the excess liquid drain off.

Transfer the millet to a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Add the sugar, a pinch of salt, and a piece of vanilla pod.

Pour in the water and coconut milk.

Bring to a boil, cover with a lid, and cook over medium heat until done, about 20 minutes. Then remove the vanilla pod and let the cooked porridge cool slightly.

Rinse the raisins and dried apricots, then pat dry with paper towels. Cut the dried apricots into small pieces.

Add dried apricots and raisins to the millet porridge. Mix well.

Grease a baking pan with coconut oil. Sprinkle the bottom with breadcrumbs.
