Millet porridge in a cast-iron pot
Description
Millet porridge can be either savory or sweet. Personally, I prefer the first option. Although, sweet millet porridge is incredibly delicious too! Especially cooked in milk with pumpkin. By the way, this is a very healthy option for those who like to have a tasty and nutritious breakfast. Ideally, of course, this porridge should be cooked in an oven. But where can you get one?
Instructions

Step 1

Start rinsing the millet. Keep rinsing until the foam drains off and the cloudy water becomes clear. You can also let it sit like this for about 10–15 minutes.

Step 2

Then pour the millet into a cast-iron pot. Add water, salt, and sugar to taste. Place in the oven for 40 minutes. Cook over low heat so that the porridge doesn't boil over and simmers gently.

Step 3

After forty minutes, take out our cast-iron pot. Cut a piece of butter (you can make it a bit larger) and place it on top of our porridge without stirring. The butter should absorb on its own. Put it back into the oven for the remaining time.

Step 4

After 15 minutes, take out the ready millet porridge from the cast-iron pot. Remove the lid. The aroma should fill the entire kitchen!
