Prepare the listed ingredients. Choose pears that are not too juicy so they hold their shape well. Rinse them in water and cut in half.

Step 2

Put powdered sugar into a frying pan or a deep saucepan. If desired, you can replace it with granulated sugar, flower honey, syrup, or another sweetener.

Step 3

Pour in the prepared wine, preferably red. The type of wine can be any. Add ground cinnamon. Optionally, you can add other spices, even bay leaf.

Step 4

Place the pears in the syrup, skin side down. Put the container on the stove and heat over medium heat.
- 5
Step 5

Simmer the pears in syrup for about 5-6 minutes, occasionally basting them with syrup using a tablespoon to ensure even soaking.

Step 6

Let the pears cool in the syrup for about 10-15 minutes, then transfer them to a plate. Pour over the syrup again and decorate to your taste: whipped cream, ice cream, cookies, etc. Enjoy your meal!
