You'll be amazed at how tender and juicy pears can taste when poached in a spiced wine syrup! Treat your loved ones to this dessert—they're sure to appreciate it. Add ground cinnamon, black pepper, cloves, and more—don't limit your culinary imagination.

    Prepare the listed ingredients. Choose pears that are not too juicy so they hold their shape well. Rinse them in water and cut in half.

    Put powdered sugar into a frying pan or a deep saucepan. If desired, you can replace it with granulated sugar, flower honey, syrup, or another sweetener.
