
Decorated Gingerbread Cookies

You can decorate them to your liking or according to the holiday you're preparing for. These gingerbread cookies make a wonderful treat for New Year, Christmas, or Easter. The baked goods turn out tender and extremely delicious. Serve them cooled down or slightly warm.

1. I put 125 grams of granulated sugar into a saucepan and place the container over low heat.

2. Cook (simmer) until the sugar granules dissolve and a rich caramel color appears, gradually pour in 125 milliliters of boiling water and stir continuously.

3. After dissolving, I add the remaining granulated sugar, constantly stirring the mixture until the sugar dissolves. I remove the mixture from the heat and let it stand for 5-10 minutes.

4. In a separate bowl, I mix 1 cup of wheat flour and 1 cup of rye flour, then add baking soda and salt, and stir.

5. Into a separate bowl, I crack 2 eggs and 1 yolk, then whisk with a whisk.

6. Add the butter to the melted sugar and stir until dissolved.

7. Add nutmeg and cinnamon to the eggs. Mix everything together and combine with the sugar syrup.
