Prepare all the ingredients.

In a saucepan, melt half the sugar until liquid. It should darken and turn brown.

Carefully pour the hot water into the saucepan and stir until smooth. Add the remaining sugar and stir until the sugar has completely dissolved.

Let the mixture cool slightly, then stir in the honey. Mix again.

Pour the sweet liquid mixture into a bowl, add the vegetable oil, and mix until smooth.

Sift half the flour and the baking powder into a bowl. Add ground cinnamon and ginger.

Mix until smooth. Then gradually begin adding the second half of the flour and knead into a uniform dough.
