
Gingerbread without honey
Description
Perfect with tea and coffee. The gingerbread dough is made on the basis of sugar syrup with butter, cocoa powder, and ground spices. This dough is simple to prepare and does not require special effort. You can use several types of flour: white wheat, whole‑grain, or oat.

Prepare the ingredients.

In a pot, pour in the sugar, add water and the tincture. Place it over heat and, stirring, warm until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Remove the pot from the heat and add the butter.

Add the spices.

Add cocoa and mix everything.

Crack the egg and mix.

Add the flour and the neutralized baking soda in small portions. Knead the dough.

Roll out the gingerbread dough into a sheet 4–5 mm thick. Cut out the gingerbread cookies.

Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the oven at 180‑190 °C for 15 minutes.

Add orange or lemon juice to the powdered sugar. Mix. Cool the finished gingerbread cookies and coat them with icing.
