
Making sour milk from milk at home
Description
The drink is quick and easy to prepare. Use only real cow's milk and high-fat sour cream for the best-tasting buttermilk. This homemade buttermilk is an excellent substitute for store-bought kefir. You can add sugar, jam, or mix in berries and fruits. Store the drink in the refrigerator for up to three days.

Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making homemade buttermilk from milk.

Heat the milk to boiling, cool to 25 degrees, and skim off the foam. Add sour cream to the pot with milk and mix.

Cover the pot with a lid and place it into a larger pot filled with very warm water. The water should be at the same level as the milk. Wrap it in a blanket and leave for 3-4 hours.

After some time, remove the pot with the sour milk, let it cool, and place it in the refrigerator for 8 hours. Our homemade sour milk is ready.
