Simple recipe for chebureks

Description

Chebureki are most commonly made with a meat filling, but this is by no means the only filling option. Among vegetarians, vegetable chebureki with cheese and herbs are popular. Chebureki should be served immediately after frying, so that the dough remains crispy and the filling stays juicy. They can be served with tea or coffee.

    1. Mix the flour with a pinch of salt, add 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil. Pour in water and knead a firm dough, then cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest for 40–60 minutes.

    2. Place the minced meat into a bowl. Peel and grate the onion into a paste, finely chop the cilantro, add both to the meat. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then pour in 5-6 tablespoons of water.

    3. Divide the dough into 12-15 pieces, roll each into a ball, then flatten into a round. Place the filling on one side.

    5. Heat a pan with vegetable oil and place the chebureki in it, frying over low heat until golden brown.
