
Simple Easter kulich
Description
The pastry is simple and quick to prepare. The main task is to properly knead the dough, which needs to rest well. If you want the pastry to be fluffy, you can't do without yeast. I'll share with you how to make it. Serve with tea or coffee.

In a deep bowl, mix warm milk with a tablespoon of sugar, yeast, and a cup of sifted flour. Stir everything together. Let the starter sit for 1 hour at room temperature.

In another container, beat the yolks with the eggs and sugar.

Add salt, turmeric, sour cream, and vanilla to the egg mixture. Beat everything with a whisk.

Then mix the risen sponge with the egg mixture. Stir them together, gradually adding the flour.

Knead the dough. Let it sit for 1.5 hours in a warm place.

Add the washed and dried raisins to the dough. Mix well.

Grease the baking molds with margarine. Fill them with dough to 1/3 of their volume. Let the dough rest for another 30 minutes.

Bake the kuliches for 20 minutes in a warm oven at 180 degrees. Then continue baking for another 20 minutes at 160 degrees.

Make the icing. Beat the egg white with powdered sugar until foamy. At the end, add lemon juice and mix again.

Decorate the kulich with icing and decorations as desired.
