
Simple cottage cheese cookies
Description
Delicious baked treats for the whole family. This cookie is very easy to prepare, yet turns out wonderfully tasty, slightly crispy, and aromatic. The main feature of these cookies is their shape and the topping of sugar and cinnamon, which gives the cottage cheese cookies their appetizing fragrance. The dough prepared according to this recipe can be stored in the refrigerator for 2 hours or even up to a day without spoiling. I recommend using cottage cheese with 5%-9% fat content, as it results in less crumbly dough. See below for details. The baked goods are ready. Serve at the table.

1. Mix the mashed cottage cheese with soft butter and stir until smooth. Add baking powder and salt to the sifted flour.

2. Combine both masses and quickly knead an elastic dough. Divide the dough into two parts, place them in plastic bags, and refrigerate for 2 hours. Mix sugar with cinnamon. Roll out the dough into a 3 mm thick sheet.

3. Using an 8 cm diameter cutter, cut out circles. Shape the cookies: dip one side of the dough circle in cinnamon sugar, fold it in half. Then dip one side of the cookie in sugar again and fold it in half once more.

4. Dip one side of the triangle into sugar again. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, with the sugared side facing up. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 15 minutes.
