Festive tartlets
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Making tartlets yourself is not difficult. For the tartlet cases, prepare a simple shortcrust pastry. By the way, this pastry works well for both sweet and savory, salty appetizer tartlets. Also, for making festive tartlets, prepare a custard cream. You can, of course, substitute it with whipped cream, but the result won't be the same. So, see the recipe below. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the dough ingredients: mix the eggs with water and vanilla extract, cut the butter into cubes. Add sugar and baking powder to the flour.
- 2
Step 2

In a blender, mix the flour with the butter until a crumbly mixture forms.
- 3
Step 3

Then add the egg mixture and knead the shortcrust dough.
- 4
Step 4

There's no need to knead the shortcrust dough for a long time; wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least half an hour.
- 5
Step 5

Then preheat the oven to 200°C. Place the dough into molds, shaping them into tartlets.
- 6
Step 6

Place foil on top and any beans. This will help the dough keep its shape during baking. Put in the oven for 5-10 minutes.
- 7
Step 7

Then remove the foil and weights, prick each tartlet lightly with a fork, and return to the oven. Bake until the tartlets are done (approximately 10 more minutes).
- 8
Step 8

While the blanks are cooling, prepare the custard cream for filling. Beat the yolks with sugar.
- 9
Step 9

Then add the flour.
- 10
Step 10

Separately, bring the milk to a boil, then slowly pour it into the egg mixture in a thin stream. Mix well.
- 11
Step 11

Over low heat, constantly stirring, bring the cream to a thick consistency. Add the vanilla extract and butter, then mix once more.
- 12
Step 12

Let the cream cool, cover it with plastic wrap to prevent a skin from forming on top.
- 13
Step 13

You can spread the tartlets with jelly or jam.
- 14
Step 14

Then fill with cream, arrange berries or fruits beautifully. If desired, you can brush the tartlets with gelatin on top.
- 15
Step 15

You can sprinkle the ready festive tartlets with powdered sugar before serving or decorate them with mint leaves.
