Apple Jam
Description
Below I will go into more detail. Jars keep for up to a year in a cool place.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Wash the apples, remove the cores, and slice into wedges. If desired, you can peel the apples beforehand.
- 3
Step 3

Transfer the apples to a heavy-bottomed pot. Pour in water.
- 4
Step 4

Bring to a boil and cook covered over medium heat until the apples are softened.
- 5
Step 5

Then drain the water in which the apples were boiled.
- 6
Step 6

Blend the apples in a blender until smooth purée.
- 7
Step 7

The purée can be pushed through a sieve for a smoother consistency.
- 8
Step 8

Add sugar to the resulting puree. Mix everything well.
- 9
Step 9

Cook the apple puree for about 40–45 minutes over low heat, stirring constantly so nothing sticks to the bottom. Skim off the foam with a spoon.
- 10
Step 10

The finished jam should noticeably thicken and darken. Keep in mind that after cooling it will become even thicker.
- 11

Transfer the finished jam into a clean sterilized jar.

Step 12

Apple jam is ready — enjoy your meal!
