Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients. Wash and dry the tomatoes, and immediately grate the hard cheese on a fine grater.
- 2
Step 2

Using a sharp knife with a long blade, trim the crusts from the bread.
- 3
Step 3

Toast the bread slices in a frying pan; if desired, you can fry the bread in butter.
- 4
Step 4

Transfer the bread to a cutting board and rub it with a garlic clove.
- 5
Step 5

Slice the tomatoes into rounds; if they are too watery, it is better to remove the seeds, otherwise the finished potaptsy will be soggy.
- 6
Step 6

Generously sprinkle the tomato layer with grated hard cheese that melts well at high temperatures. Transfer the potaptsy to a baking sheet and place them in an oven preheated to 190°C for 7–10 minutes, until the cheese has melted well but has not formed a crust.

Step 7

Potaptsy with tomatoes are ready! Brew a delicious tea and serve at the table.
