Vegan Apple Upside-Down Cake
Description
A very tasty and juicy pie made from simple ingredients. I should warn you in advance: bake the pie using a double portion, otherwise there won't be enough to properly taste it, especially if you have a large family. For a double portion, increase the baking time. You can add pieces of pears or peaches to the apple layer, making the pie even more aromatic and juicy. Now you know—the baking is ready. Serve it at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Peel the apples and remove the cores with seeds.
- 2
Step 2

Grate one apple on a coarse grater, add cinnamon, vegetable oil, and 3.5 tablespoons of sugar. Mix well.
- 3
Step 3

Now add the flour mixed with baking powder and stir.
- 4
Step 4

In a small saucepan or skillet, pour a spoonful of water, add honey and the remaining sugar. Place over low heat and cook until the sugar granules are completely dissolved, stirring occasionally. This will take no more than 5 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

Pour the resulting caramel into a pie pan. The pan diameter should be 23-26 cm. It's best to bake in a heavy ceramic dish.
- 6
Step 6

Slice the remaining apples and place them on the caramel.
- 7
Step 7

Spread the apple batter evenly over the apples.
- 8
Step 8

Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 40 minutes. Let the pie cool slightly, then turn it out onto a flat plate.
