Vegan pilaf in a multicooker

60 min4 serv.19 февр. 2026 г.

Description

The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. For most of the year, Orthodox Christians avoid eating meat, and during Great Lent, they abstain from all animal proteins. However, this doesn't mean that fasting days should be limited to plain water-based porridges and raw vegetables. A simple recipe for lenten pilaf in a multicooker will allow you to diversify your menu regardless of the season. The mushrooms included in this dish are rightly called "forest meat"—they contain a significant amount of protein. There's no need to elaborate on the nutritional benefits and advantages of rice—they are widely known. I prepare this dish with traditional rice and carrots, but you can vary the recipe by using other seasonal vegetables. So feel free to experiment, and the delicious and healthy lenten pilaf from your multicooker will not keep you waiting! :) The ready dish can now be served.
