Vegan Vertuty
Description
The recipe won't take much time. During fasting, in addition to meat and dairy products, eggs must also be completely excluded from the diet. However, this doesn't mean you should give up baked goods during this period. There are quite a few different recipes suitable for a fasting diet, and in this recipe, I'll tell you. Serve hot.
Instructions

Step 1

If you are making vertuty as I do, using sauerkraut, you need to rinse it under cold water before cooking. Then we finely chop the onion, pour vegetable oil into a frying pan, and fry the onion until golden brown. Next, add the rinsed sauerkraut to the onion and simmer everything over low heat for 10-15 minutes, until the cabbage begins to brown.

Step 2

While the cabbage is simmering, we'll prepare the dough. Pour flour into a bowl and make a well in the center. Dissolve a pinch of salt in water and pour this mixture into the flour, adding vegetable oil. Knead these ingredients into an elastic dough and let it rest for half an hour. After that, divide the dough into 8 equal parts, grease your hands and rolling pin with vegetable oil, and roll each part into a very thin sheet. Place the cooled cabbage filling on one side of the sheet and roll it up into a log.

Step 3

Roll each roll into a spiral and place on a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

Step 4

As soon as the vertuts acquire a pleasant golden-brown color, remove them from the oven and serve hot at the table.
