Description

When placing buns on the baking sheet, try to keep them at least 2-3 cm apart. Yeast dough is known for its fluffiness. During baking, the buns may expand significantly. Keep this in mind. Serve warm or cooled. Perfect with tea.

Instructions

    Step 1

    Step 1

Dissolve the yeast in warm water. Add 3 teaspoons of sugar, a pinch of salt, and vanilla. Pour in 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Mix well. Add the sifted flour to the yeast mixture. Knead an elastic dough. Cover with a towel and let rise in a warm place for an hour.

Let's move on to the filling. I washed the prunes and dried apricots. I also happened to have some walnuts on hand. I cracked them and ground them in a mortar. I blended the washed dried fruits in a blender, then mixed them with the ground walnuts. Added a tablespoon of honey. My honey has already crystallized, so it's fine for the filling—won't run.

The dough has doubled in size. I knead it and divide it into small circles. I roll out the pieces of dough into thin flatbreads. I place a ball of filling on top. I seal the edges, forming a little pie.

I grease a heat-resistant dish with vegetable oil. Place the buns into it. Brush them with vegetable oil as well. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for half an hour.

When the buns have risen well and turned golden brown, we take them out and cover them with a towel. They can be eaten hot or cold.
