
Lenten flatbreads in brine
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. Lean brine‑soaked flatbreads are well served with first courses. Especially with broth. Cook them right before serving and serve them warm. They can be served with tea or coffee.

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Pour the brine into a bowl, add sugar, baking soda, and stir.

Add flour and sesame.

Start mixing the dough with a spoon. Add the oil and knead it by hand.

Roll the finished dough into a ball. It turns out soft and pliable. It doesn’t stick to your hands. Let the dough rest in the bowl for 10 minutes, covered with a towel.

After the time has elapsed, divide the dough into four equal parts.

Take one portion and roll it out into a flatbread 0.5 cm thick. Prick the entire surface of the dough with a fork.

Heat the pan, pour in 1 tbsp of oil and place the prepared flatbread. Fry on one side until golden brown for 3–4 minutes over a heat slightly below medium.

Stack the ready flatbreads and serve them immediately at the table.
