
Vegetarian lazy cabbage rolls
Description
The recipe won't take much time. This simple recipe for lazy Lenten cabbage rolls will greatly delight you during fasting periods. Try making it, and you'll see that fasting food can be just as filling and delicious as regular meals we're used to. I often prepare this dish towards the end of a fast, when I'm tired of eating the same things every day. Give it a try. Serve hot.

1. Immediately heat two frying pans with a large amount of oil on the stove. In the first pan, sauté the carrots, then add the cabbage. Cook over low heat with a small amount of water, simmering until the cabbage becomes tender.

2. In another skillet, sauté the onion. Soak the mushrooms in boiling water for 15 minutes. Once swollen, drain and add them to the onion. Sauté until fully cooked.

3. Cook the rice until done, then add it to the mushrooms and onions. Sauté everything together, then add the cabbage and carrots. Mix well, add spices. Simmer everything together for another 10 minutes.

4. Transfer the dish to a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes. Serve, sprinkled with fresh green onions!
