Lentil-free millet cutlets
Description
The recipe won't take much time. To prepare the cutlets, boil millet in water or vegetable broth. Let it cool slightly, then add ground vegetables (use a meat grinder or any food processor), salt and pepper to taste. You can also add dill or parsley for color. Fry the cutlets in vegetable oil and serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. Let's get started!
- 2
Step 2

Boil the millet for cutlets. To do this, pour water into a saucepan in a 2:1 ratio to the grain, salt it, bring to a boil, add the rinsed millet, and cook for 20 minutes, covered.
- 3
Step 3

Place cabbage, sweet pepper, garlic, and onion into the food processor bowl. Or use a meat grinder.
- 4
Step 4

Turn on the blender for 3-4 minutes to chop the vegetables as finely as possible.
- 5
Step 5

If the vegetables have released a lot of juice, squeeze it out. Mix the vegetables with warm millet in a bowl.
- 6
Step 6

Season the meat mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
- 7
Step 7

Take the minced meat with a tablespoon and shape into round or oval cutlets. Coat in breadcrumbs.
- 8
Step 8

Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil, adding a tablespoon of oil before each batch. Place the patties in the pan and fry until golden brown crust forms. Use medium heat.
- 9
Step 9

Flip the patties with a spatula and cook on the other side. Repeat with the remaining patties.
- 10
Step 10

After frying, let the patties rest on paper towels to remove excess fat. I ended up with 18 patties.
