Prepare all the ingredients.

Mix sifted flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

Add vegetable oil, stir.

Then pour in the boiling water, and knead a uniform dough. Cover with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for half an hour.

Peel the apples and cut them into slices. Add starch and cinnamon. Mix.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of half a centimeter. Cut circles from the dough with an approximate diameter of 16 cm.

Place the filling in the center and sprinkle with sugar.

Pinch the edges toward the center. Bake the galettes in a preheated oven at 190 °C for 35–40 minutes.

The Lenten galettes are ready; before serving, they can be dusted with powdered sugar.
