Potato pancakes (vegan)
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Grate the potatoes on a grater or process them in a blender. I prefer using a blender, as the mixture—and the resulting potato pancakes—turn out more tender. Fry them like small pancakes in vegetable oil until golden brown. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea. Good luck!
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients in advance. Peel and wash the potatoes and onions.
- 2
Step 2

Place the potatoes and onions in a blender and thoroughly chop them. You can also grate them on a grater.
- 3
Step 3

The potato crumbs should be fine, uniform in size, and consistent.
- 4
Step 4

Add salt and flour. Mix thoroughly, thus kneading the potato dough.
- 5
Step 5

The potato mixture is ready for frying.
- 6
Step 6

Pour a teaspoon of vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat it up. Use a tablespoon to place the potato mixture onto the pan, shaping the pancakes into round or oval forms with the same spoon. Do not make the pancakes too thick, otherwise they might not cook through properly in the center.

Step 7

Fry the lean potato pancakes over medium heat until golden brown. Serve with tomato sauce or sour cream.
