Filled doughnuts
Description
The pastry is easy and quick to prepare. Donuts can be made with various fillings—either custard cream, as in my case, or jam, fruits, and many other options. You can even use savory fillings if you like—nothing forbids it! Donuts are also delicious without any filling at all, simply on their own. Serve with tea or coffee.

Step 1

Heat the milk. Add the yeast. I used dry yeast because it works faster. Add a pinch of salt, a tablespoon of sugar, and vanilla. Mix everything. Break in a couple of eggs and beat. Sift 500 grams of flour through a sieve and knead the dough. Place in a warm spot for one to two hours (depending on room temperature).

Step 2

Meanwhile, let's prepare the cream. Mix a cup of milk with condensed milk. Add 200 grams of flour and whisk thoroughly. Place the saucepan on the stove and cook the mixture, stirring constantly, until it thickens.

Step 3

While we were preparing the cream, the dough has already risen. Roll it out into a single layer about one centimeter thick. Take a shot glass or a small cup and cut out circles from the dough. This will give you slightly flattened balls. From the leftover dough, roll it into a ball again, roll it out, and continue cutting out more circles.

Step 4

Place the cooled cream in the center on top of the flattened rounds. To fit the cream, stretch the edges with your hands. Put about a teaspoon of cream, depending on the size of the bun. Roll into a bud shape and seal by rolling with your hands.

Step 5

Take a frying pan with high sides. If you have a deep fryer, use it! Pour sunflower oil into the pan so that the doughnuts are half submerged. Heat the oil, then place the doughnuts into the pan. Flatten them slightly with your hands beforehand to ensure they cook better. Fry on both sides until a crust forms. Keep an eye on the oil level.

Step 6

Place the finished donuts on paper towels, which absorb oil well. Once the excess oil has been absorbed and the donuts have dried, sprinkle the finished treat with powdered sugar. These wonderful and very inexpensive sweets are perfect with tea!
