Doughnuts on milk without yeast
Description
Perfect with tea or coffee. The pastries are prepared quite quickly, so even if you suddenly crave something delicious, you won't have to wait long. In just 30 minutes, these tasty golden doughnuts will delight your eyes and your stomach. Before serving, you can sprinkle them with powdered sugar and cinnamon, making them even more irresistibly appetizing. To achieve perfect cooking, I recommend frying one doughnut first and tasting it, so you don't end up with two batches of pastries that look beautiful on the outside but are raw inside. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- 2
Step 2
Work the cold butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- 3
Step 3
Add the milk, mix until a uniform consistency is achieved.
- 4
Step 4
Place the dough on a generously floured surface. Knead it until you form a smooth, non-sticky ball.
- 5
Step 5
Divide your large ball of dough into small pieces (our future doughnuts) about 1.5–2 tablespoons in size. Shape the pieces into balls.
- 6
Step 6
Fill a deep skillet with vegetable oil so that it completely (or almost completely) covers the doughnuts.
- 7
Step 7
Heat the skillet with oil to approximately 175 degrees.
- 8
Step 8
While the butter is heating, you can prepare a mixture of powdered sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
- 9
Step 9
Prepare plates for placing the finished doughnuts. Line them with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- 10
Step 10
Carefully fry the doughnuts in oil (about 3-4 minutes per batch).
- 11
Step 11
Place the finished donuts on a plate with a paper towel and leave them there for about 30 seconds. Then dip each donut into the mixture of powdered sugar and cinnamon and place them on another plate.
- 12
Step 12
Repeat these steps until all the donuts are cooked. They are best when hot/warm. The next day they are not nearly as tasty. So enjoy them, as the saying goes, straight from the heat :).
