Tomatoes in the Microwave

Description

Perfect with meals and drinks. This simple, light microwave tomato appetizer is best served with fresh herbs. You can also use cherry tomatoes and make many more small appetizers from them. For extra heat, add crushed garlic, then the butter. I don’t like very spicy dishes, so here is my microwave tomato recipe exactly as I make it.

    Wash the tomatoes and cut them in half. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and seasonings.

    Place a piece of butter on each tomato half.

    You can also sprinkle a little more salt on top.

    Place in the microwave for 5–7 minutes, depending on the microwave’s power.
