Korean-Style Tomatoes in a Jar
Description
Suitable for both special occasions and everyday meals. Korean-style tomatoes are great as a standalone dish or paired with baked or fried meat, fish, or grilled sausages. The appetizer has a contrasting flavor—at once fiery and cooling. Because of this, you'll want to keep eating them again and again until the plate is empty. Serve the appetizer at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Wash the tomatoes in water, cut into four pieces, and remove the cores.
- 3
Step 3

Remove the seeds from the green bell pepper by cutting off the top, rinse in water, and dice. Transfer the diced pepper to the food processor bowl.
- 4
Step 4

Wash the celery or parsley greens, chop them, and add them to a container together with peeled garlic cloves.
- 5
Step 5

Process the contents of the container until smooth.
- 6
Step 6

Place on the tomato slices, add salt, sugar, ground coriander, and hot red pepper. Pour in vinegar and vegetable oil.
- 7
Step 7

Carefully mix everything together and transfer to a dry, clean jar.
- 8
Step 8

Tightly seal with the lid and turn the jar upside down. This way, the tomatoes near the lid will marinate first, and you can remove them, leaving the lower half for further marinating.
- 9
Step 9

Let the appetizer rest in the refrigerator for about a day, then transfer to a deep plate and serve.
