Here is a classic recipe for Armenian-style tomatoes: 1. Let's start by preparing the tomatoes with the filling. Peel the garlic, remove the seeds from the hot peppers, and wash the herbs. Then chop everything and mix well.

2. Wash the tomatoes first, then cut them in half without cutting all the way through, leaving about 1 centimeter intact at the base. Then carefully place the prepared filling in the center of each tomato.

3. Prepare the brine. To make the brine, add 1/2 cup of salt and a bay leaf to 2.5 liters of water and bring to a boil. Then place the tomatoes in a pot and pour over the cooled brine so they are completely covered. Cover with a plate on top and place a small weight on top. The tomatoes will be ready in 3–4 days.
