
Icing for cookies
Description
You can prepare icing for cookies in just 5–10 minutes. It can be used not only to decorate cookies, but also cupcakes, puddings, pies, etc. By adding food coloring, you can achieve any desired color of icing: pink, blue, yellow, and so on.

Prepare the listed ingredients. The fondant is made from powdered sugar and egg white. The recipe uses a double quantity of ingredients.

Pour the egg whites into the bowl of a food processor or into a deep container if you are using a hand mixer. Add one-third of the powdered sugar, salt, and beat for about 3 minutes at the highest speed.

Then add a few drops of any food coloring of your choice, or omit it altogether. Gradually add the remaining powdered sugar in portions, beating the mixture each time. The icing will not be thick; it should slightly drip.

Pour the fondant into a wide container and dip the top of each cookie into it. Place the cookies either on a baking sheet and dry in the oven for about 10 minutes at 70-80°C, or let them dry at room temperature for 1-2 hours.
