
Mushroom Gravy
Description
Use only fresh mushrooms; you can use button mushrooms, as they are easiest to find, or oyster mushrooms. The sauce can be prepared in advance and then reheated before serving. Serve it with a vegetable side dish, porridge, or pasta. A simple but delicious dish for the whole family.

1. Wash and thinly slice the mushrooms, peel and press the garlic using a garlic press.

2. Place the pressed garlic into a heated pan with oil and cook for 1-2 minutes, then add the mushrooms and cook for about 15 minutes, until all the liquid has evaporated and the mushrooms become soft and dark. Add flour to the pan and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, making sure the flour does not burn.

3. Pour the vegetable broth into the pan and mix everything thoroughly to dissolve the flour in the broth.

4. Wash the thyme. Add thyme sprigs, sage, pepper, and salt to taste to the saucepan. Bring the sauce to a boil. After boiling, continue cooking for 5–10 minutes until the sauce thickens, stirring occasionally during cooking.

5. Serve the sauce with rice or other dishes.
