Pilaf with pumpkin and raisins
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Most of us are used to thinking of pilaf as a meat dish with plenty of spices, and certainly not associated with dessert. However, if you prepare it with fruits, you can enjoy a delicious and healthy sweet dish. The finished dish can be served at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Wash the pumpkin, dry it, and cut into small cubes. It's better to choose a vegetable with bright color. The pumpkin should be orange and "fleshy," so that dishes made from it turn out sweet and aromatic.
- 2
Step 2

Rinse the rice under cold running water. This will be very easy to do if you place the grains in a fine-mesh colander.

Step 3

Wash the apples and peel them. It's best to choose sweet apple varieties that are firm and dense, not overripe. Cut them into pieces, removing the core with seeds. Dice the apples into cubes. They should be the same size as the pieces of pumpkin.

Step 4

Place the washed raw rice in a heatproof dish so that it covers the bottom of the dish, and pour one glass of water over it. Add some pumpkin and apple on top.

Step 5

Wash the raisins. If they are too large, cut them into pieces. Layer the rice, apples, and pumpkin in a heatproof dish until all the ingredients are used up. Lightly sprinkle each layer with sugar. Place the dish in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and cook for about an hour. Serve hot with butter.
