Pilaf with dried fruits

Description

The recipe won't take much time. You can prepare this pilaf with various dried fruits, but I personally prefer it when at least half of them are raisins. Besides raisins, you can add apricots, prunes, dates, figs, etc. Just remember to thoroughly rinse the dried fruits with hot water before using; if they are too dry, soak them for a few minutes. This dish is perfect for a family breakfast, afternoon snack, or light dinner. Children especially love it—this simple recipe for pilaf with dried fruits will let you feed your kids something tasty and healthy without any objections from them! :) Serve hot.

In a saucepan, a heavy-bottomed pot, or a deep skillet, heat the oil.

And sauté the dried fruits—not until crispy, but just enough for them to release their aroma.

    Step 5

Place the rice previously drained in a colander. Add salt and pour over water mixed with honey—this should cover the rice by about 1 centimeter.

Cover with a lid and simmer over low heat until done—about half an hour. Stir before serving.
