
Pilaf with chickpeas
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Of course, this isn't a classic pilaf recipe with chickpeas, and traditionally chickpeas are rarely added, so this is rather a simplified variation. But it turns out no less delicious and filling—I think you'll fully appreciate the taste! So be sure to try delighting your loved ones with this wonderful dish, as now you know how. Serve hot.

1. Prepare the ingredients. Soak the chickpeas for at least 12 hours. Grate the carrot, chop the onion, and rinse the rice.

2. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and sauté the meat pieces together with the chopped onion.

3. Add the grated carrots and simmer for 30 minutes over low heat, covered.

4. Meanwhile, cook the rice in salted water.

5. After half an hour has passed, add chickpeas, cumin, and garlic to the meat. You can also add raisins and your favorite spices.

6. Simmer the meat under the lid for another 10 minutes, then mix in the cooked rice.
