
Pilaf with mussels
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Traditionally, pilaf is made with lamb. However, the variety of recipes allows us to cook pilaf using different ingredients. Today, let's try pilaf with mussels. The finished dish can be served at the table.

1. Prepare the vegetables. Peel the onion and carrot. Cut the onion into cubes. Slice the carrot into strips. Heat oil in a cauldron and sauté the onion. Add the carrot. Continue frying until the carrot becomes soft.

2. Mussels are sold cooked and frozen. Add them to the vegetables and sauté for a few minutes.

3. Rinse the rice in cold water. Add the required spices and salt to the pot. Pour in 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add the rice.

4. The water should cover the rice by 1-1.5 cm. Level the rice and boil until the water evaporates from the surface. Place a head of peeled garlic and, if desired, a piece of hot pepper on top. Cover the pilaf tightly with a lid to prevent steam from escaping. Reduce the heat to minimum and let it simmer for 25 minutes. Let the pilaf rest for another 25 minutes.
