Description

Cooking turkey pilaf in a multicooker is so easy that even a cooking beginner can handle this recipe without any trouble.

Instructions

    1. To prepare pilaf with turkey in a multicooker, start with the meat. Wash it, dry it, and cut into portion-sized pieces. Pour a little vegetable oil into the bottom of the multicooker bowl and add the turkey. Sear the meat on the "Frying" setting until golden brown.

    2. While the meat is cooking, you can start preparing the vegetables. Peel the onions and slice them into half-rings. Wash the carrots, peel them, and grate on a coarse grater or cut into thin strips. It's better to use plenty of vegetables, as they are an essential part of this dish.

    3. Add the vegetables to the already sautéed meat. Pour in a little water and set the Slow Cook mode for 10–15 minutes. Also add washed garlic and chili pepper to the multicooker bowl. If you leave the garlic whole, it will provide more aroma; for a stronger garlic flavor, it's better to mince it. Use chili pepper cautiously—half of a very hot pepper is sufficient, and it's advisable to remove the seeds. A moderately spicy chili pepper can be added whole.

    4. Meanwhile, rinse the rice thoroughly. When the meat and vegetables have simmered for a while, add the rice and pilaf spices to the multicooker bowl. Add more water or broth.

    5. Turn on the Rice (or Pilaf) setting (if unavailable, use Stew, Sauté, or Rice mode) and cook for about 45–60 minutes, until the meat becomes tender. When the turkey pilaf in the multicooker is ready, carefully remove the garlic and chili pepper from the bowl, then serve the dish.
