Rice pilaf with beans
Description
The recipe won't take much time. If you haven't yet figured out how to diversify your everyday menu, I'd like to offer you a very interesting recipe for preparing pilaf with beans—no meat, no excess fat, and the beans will perfectly supply the necessary amount of protein. Thus, the dish turns out to be very filling, yet does not harm our body with cholesterol. In my opinion, this pilaf is an excellent option for those who care about their figure and health, and everyone else could benefit from including such a dish in their diet from time to time. And it's very easy to prepare; the only thing we need to do is soak the beans in advance, as the taste won't be the same with canned beans. Other than that, everything is simple and quick. So let's get started and prepare a healthy and delicious dinner for the whole family, and my step-by-step recipe for bean pilaf with photos will help you along the way. Serve hot.
Instructions

Step 1

So, as I already mentioned, it's better to soak the beans for several hours beforehand. But this time I didn't have time for that, so I had to cook them without soaking. Place the beans in a pot and boil until fully cooked.

Step 2

Grate the carrots on a coarse grater and finely chop the onions. When the beans are ready, add the chopped vegetables and 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil.

Step 3

Boil the vegetables with beans for 2-3 minutes, then add the previously rinsed rice.

Step 4

Pour in water so that the liquid level is 3 centimeters above the rice. Add salt, pepper, and season with spices.

Step 5

Cover the pot with a lid and cook the pilaf over low heat until the rice is fully cooked and the water has evaporated. Then stir the contents of the pot, cover it with the lid again, and wrap it in a towel for 15-30 minutes. Now our pilaf is ready to be served. Enjoy your meal!
