Rice and lentil pilaf
Description
Let's prepare a rice and lentil pilaf at home. This dish comes from Arab countries, and it is said that this pilaf was traditionally for the poor, so only the most basic ingredients are used: rice, lentils, onion, salt, and water. I suggest adding a few familiar ingredients, such as chicken meat, carrots, and fresh herbs for garnish. Good luck!
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Slice the onion into half-rings.
- 2
Step 2

Pour a little oil into the multicooker bowl and sauté the onion until golden brown, using the "Baking" mode. Transfer the onion to a separate dish; it will be needed for serving the dish.

Step 3

Place the washed lentils into the pot, pour water over them (1 cup of water per 0.5 cup of lentils). Cook using the "Buckwheat" setting until the sound signal indicates completion.

Step 4

Add 3.5 cups of water and salt to taste to the cooked lentils, mix, then add the rinsed rice. Cook on the "Pilaf" setting until the timer signals.
